Yes, Yes I did

I watched Extreme Cheapskates again.
As I mentioned before, most of the stuff is extreme and I wouldn't do.
But I had to try this one.
Lint for cotton balls.
The lady on the show used them for applying make up, removing make up.  She said since it has gone through the washer and dryer, it is clean...
I removed toenail polish.
Did it work?  Yes indeed it did/does.  Better than a cotton ball.  I only used 2 small wads of lint to remove 3 layers of red polish.
Would I use this for makeup?  No.  But nice to know if I run out of cotton balls for nail polish, I have plenty of back up lint.

I only used 2 small bits of lint

DIY Hair cut

My son's hair was getting rather long.
I finally talked him into a hair cut, so it needed to be done right then
I invested in hair cutting sheers 20+ years ago.
Boys' hair is pretty easy to cut, only down side is the clean up.
In the summer I cut hair on the deck and just weep it away.
I save about $15.00 with each hair cut.

BEFORE

AFTER.  Look at all that hair

Quickie breakfast

Ahh, I feel better after a long winter break.
But I am back now and back and in the swing of early morning breakfast
My son loves these
I had an old heel of bread
chunk of cheese, I had cheddar
leftover ground sausage
Just added about 6 eggs whisked with Milk (You could add salt and pepper, I didn't)
I don't have measurements, just eyeballed everything

Grease bottom of muffin tin, add bread

I added grated cheddar
Topped with my breakfast sausage (Mine was Turkey)
Poured in my egg/milk mixture
Topped off with any remaining cheese and baked 350 for 15-20 min till eggs are done

As they cool, they will fall.
I freeze mine and whenever we need a quick breakfast I thaw 2 in the microwave, then zap them til warm

Wreaths part 2

As I mentioned, I actually started this last year when I gathered all the pine cones, baked them, and then painted them.
This year I bought a wire frame, with a coupon of course. paid less than three for it.
Here it is....
Sorting

Wiring the first row to the frame

First row done

Second row hot glued into place.  Third row is the interior ring

A few small pine cones glued into any gaps.  And DONE

Wreath Part 1

I made wreaths
I made a pine cone one and one made from dollar store ornaments.
The pine cone one actually started last year when I collected and baked and spray painted the pine cones. Pictures in next post.

Here is the Ornament wreath
Wire hanger (get a thin one, I used a thick one and had trouble bending it)
Dollar store ornaments

I spent 6.36 on the wreath.  More than I really wanted to spend, but I like it.

This week

This week I made a new batch of hot cocoa
Creamer, cocoa, dry milk and I used Stevia not sugar

I used up the zucchini.  Made one large loaf: great for snacks and even breakfast
4 smaller loaves went into the freezer for later
Already gave a small loaf as a gift

Won a free bag of chocolate from Gertrude Hawk.  It will make a great teacher or hostess gift.
MMMMM Chocolate
