My Son and I pulled weeds for our neighbors. (This past summer)
We were sweaty and very dirty.
Shoes too.
My son learned you can wash sneakers.
And this is how I dried them. (So they didn't bonk around in the dryer)
(Yes, of course, you can air dry)

I have shown how I cut my hair before.
This time I did long layers. It is how you pull your hair forward.
Then instead of a blunt cut, I went back in to give it texture.
Simple, to the point
I particpated in a local craft show
I did make a profit
But would rather give my crafts as gifts or sell on Facebook
My best sellers were:
Swiffer covers, water bottle holders, market bags and face scrubbies
Dinner Time.
I don't have enough of one veggie
Here is what I do have:
2 tiny potatoes
1 tomato that has seen better days
1/2 red bell pepper
1 large sweet potato
1 onion
Baby carrots
Viola.....nice side dish for dinner
Salt pepper olive oil, bake
My husband switched his prescriptions to a pharmacy in a grocery store. They gave him a 25.00 store card.
The store eventually had a sale.
All this would have been exactly 25 dollars
I paid ZERO
I used 1 package of ham for a dinner for my family of three.
That is 1.66 per person for the meat
But we had leftovers, so I will divide by 4, that is 1.25 per serving
Then I used 2 of the Pork tenderloins for a dinner with 7 people and had plenty left overs. So I'll divide by 8 and that is also 1.25 per person for the meat.
Our local place sells Stromboli for 17.75 plus tax 18.81
I made one the other day (Not pretty, but pretty tasty)
Flour .22
Yeast .32
Water unknown
Cheese 1.79
Sauce .99
Meatballs 1.99
Spices negligible
Total 5.32
Savings of 13.49
Love them or hate them, the meal kits may be here to stay and that can be good.
So far, nothing is more frugal than grocery shopping and making meals at home.
But I found meal kits to bridge the gap between home cooking and going out to eat.
Especially if you use a coupon code or Groupon and cancel when intro period is up.
That is key, cancel, do not let it roll over into the regular price. That is unless you have budgeted for it.
Intro price 1.74 Per Person per meal. Regular price, around 5.00 per person per meal PLUS SHIPPING.
For 3 meals a week for family of 4 intro around 36.00, afterwards 60.00 plus 10.00 shipping
Wow, Covid made life wonky for a while
I am back and have been crocheting the whole time.
Now...to sell my crafts
I will be selling crochet for the first time later this month.
So, perhaps I will make some money.
I only buy the yarn on sale and have gotten a lot for free.
For the Craft Show, I am sticking with the Frugal, Reusable items.
Dishcloths/washcloths. face scrubbies, market bags, coasters, Swiffer covers, soap savers
