My Free Ice Cream

Just a quick one.
Yep I got Free Ice Cream on my birthday

Really...it is free

Free on my birthday, (or can be used up to a week after)

FREE on my birthday

So today I will head to FIREHOUSE SUB for a free sub, just show my ID
Then an afternoon treat at RITA'S for a free water ice
Then RED ROBIN for dinner, free gourmet burger and a dessert
Also I have coupons for Uno's
I can use them all today or for the next few weeks
Life is good, and frugal

Rice Krispie Treats

Back in April, my son had leftover Easter candy
20-25 Peeps.  Ridiculous
So I made Rice Krispie treats
They turned out good, a bit sweeter and very yellow, because of the yellow Peeps
Great way to use up that old candy

This is how much my son got for Easter

What Frugal things did you do this week?

I ran out of my fabric sheets last week
Wasnt shopping until yesterday
So I made my own and I am still using them

Washed and reused 'baggies" (of course)

Didn't shower ever day (Every other)

Went to my local bakery outlet and bought brand named bread and bagels for .89 cent each

Made a soup out of this weeks leftovers

Got 3 books (free) and 2 movies (1.50) at the library

Coffee Filters

You may remember, in Jan. I quit coffee for economical reasons.
I still have a pack of 100 coffee filters.
They are handy.

I cover food in the microwave with them.
They are excellent for cleaning mirrors and windows.
Need to strain something, use a coffee filter.
Blot make up
Bottom of a flower pot, allows drainage, but keeps the soil in
Perfect size for wrapping my Christmas balls for storage
I put them in between my fine china 
And they help protect and separate my cast iron frying pans


I am sure there are many more uses.
